JOB TITLE: Porter
SUMMARY: Cleans all club facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, brass fixtures, club art, tile surfaces, and trim.
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms (sauna and steam rooms) and other Club areas as trained.
- Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor.
- Washes inside and outside of windows.
- Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
- Dusts furniture and equipment.
- Polishes metalwork.
- Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
- Empties waste containers; empties and cleans outdoor ashcans.
- Keeps immediate areas outside of clubhouse clean and tidy.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Assists dishwasher in putting garbage containers outside for pickup and bringing them back into Club in the morning.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies.
- Replaces light bulbs.
- May assist in delivering messages.
- May transport small equipment and furniture between departments.
- May assist in set up of tables and chairs in Club Rooms.
REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
