St. Francis Foundation

OUR MISSION

The St. Francis Yacht Club Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, has been created to encourage, promote, and enhance the sport of sailing. We provide support to young sailors just beginning their sailing careers, competitive sailors as they advance, and elite sailors seeking world class competition.  Additionally, we assist various programs that introduce sailing to students, disadvantaged youth, and individuals that face physical challenges.

Olympic Success

The St. Francis Yacht Club has developed a storied history of world-class sailors who have had remarkable success in premier regattas such as the Volvo/Whitbread, the America’s Cup, Transpac and numerous world championships.

One venue in which StFYC members have demonstrated uncommon success is the Olympic games.

To date, St. Francis Yacht Club members hold twelve Olympic medals in a variety of competitions. Seven other members vied for spots on the Olympic podium. All our previous Olympians are superb ambassadors representing their nation and club on the world stage.
