The StFYC is invited to a variety of events during the year, from Team Race to Match Race to Fleet Races, for juniors, seniors, men, women & all ages in between!   We are building a list of all members and spouses, and kids,  who would be interested in being considered for these teams.

Please go to the StFYC website, to the Race Page and look for a link to a form to list your information, and we also suggest you submit a sailing resume.  Then as we need to form teams, our captains will be able to search for people with the experience or skills needed and contact you.  

We often are invited to events with specific parameters for the team – skippers must be of a certain age – one team race event  requires that skippers be at least 55, others require that a junior member participate.  This is why we want to know if you are interested.   An example of why we are starting this process is that our club has registered for the 2010 NYYC Invitational Cup Qualifier, which will be sailed at Harbor Court in September.  The top three teams will be invited to sail in the NYYC Invitational Cup in September 2011, and should we be selected, we know we will need to include one junior under the age of 21 as of September 2011, on our team.  So juniors (and kids of members) we really need to know of your interest.

We also need members who have experience or the ability to coach, team support or other skills, so if you would like to contribute, please let us know what you can help with.
