Rentals shall be limited at all times during the year to accomplish this purpose.
Mooring and Registering - All yachts mooring at Club docks will report to and register with the Dockmaster or Assistant Dockmaster in the Yard Office or the Front Office if he is not on duty.
Tie-Up - Yachts shall tie up as far in the slips as possible to allow room for other arriving boats, and verify with the Dockmaster that the tie-up location is approved.
Dock Use During Regattas - During Club sponsored regattas, dock space is not available for non-participating yachts, except for loading and unloading passengers, or as authorized by the Dockmaster or the Port Captain.
Use of Floats and Docks for Club Sponsored Regattas - Members and non-members shall not be charged for use of floats and docks for a period beginning 48 hours before the day of a Club sponsored regatta and ending 24 hours after completion of such regatta. Charges for use of floats and docks outside the period of free use shall be made in accordance with Regulations.
We welcome the yachts of all members of reciprocal clubs as well as guests of StFYC members. All non-member yachts must adhere to the following:
– Contact the Dockmaster to verify space availability prior to arrival.
– Upon arrival, prominently display your home club burgee either on a staff or on a halyard such that it can be plainly seen.
– Present a current membership card of your home club.
– Your yacht must be maintained to a good standard, subject to the discretion of the Dockmaster.
– Any visiting yacht may be asked at any time to relocate or remove their vessel from the Club Docks to provide adequate space for member use.
– Visiting yachts may not use the Club Docks during black-out dates, Opening Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Fleet Week, or other restricted use days
Each year, St. Francis Yacht Club welcomes several Bay-Area yacht clubs to enjoy a “Cruise-In” to our docks. During a typical cruise-in, visiting yachts dock together on our guest docks and enjoy a meal in the clubhouse. All cruise-ins are organized by our Port Captain, Chris Lewis, who can be reached at 650-743-6896 or email@example.com.
Before requesting a Cruise-In please note the Black Out dates listed above.
Day - For purposes of this section of the Regulations, the word “day” means 24 hours or portion thereof from noon to noon.
Free day - A “free day” shall mean a yacht is charged beginning at noon the second day of any stay.
Assumption of Liability for Loss - In the absence of a specific agreement to the contrary, the Club assumes no liability for loss of, or damage to, boats, gear, or equipment brought upon Club premises by members or Guests, for use or storage therein, and all persons leaving such property on Club premises do so at their own risk.
Dry Storage Space and Stalls - Dry Storage space is intended only for storage of actively used yachts owned and in use by Club members. Each space shall be occupied by the assigned yacht on its own trailer. Both yacht and trailer shall be currently licensed and marked as to name of owner/member. It is the intention that dry storage is dedicated to yachts being actively raced under the St. Francis burgee. Unregistered boats parked on Club property unassigned to a space by the Dockmaster are subject to twelve dollars ($12.00) per day storage charge.
