Frequently Asked Questions & Resources
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I register on Tinsley Island?
After you have docked, please register HERE. You can also use the on-Island registration stations located at the Lanai Bar and at the West Dock Bathhouse.
Does the island offer storage for galley items and perishables?
Yes. When cooking your meals on the Island, you may store your galley items in the lockers in the galley area instead of taking them back and forth to your boat. Members may padlock and place their boat or family name on a locker. Lockers are available on a first-come/first-served basis beginning March 1.
There are refrigerators and freezers in the galley area, and they fill up quickly. You will need a milk crate or a plastic container with your boat or family name for your perishables. If you have a refrigerator on your boat, please use that and leave the Island’s facilities free for those who do not have access to a personal refrigerator.
Is there a snack bar on the Island or food available?
From approximately May 31 until September 30, the Island Snack Bar is open on the weekends. The Snack Bar is closed during Cruises.

Friday: 12:00 noon – 9:00pm (Bar open until 12:00am)
Saturday: 8:30am – 9:00pm (Bar open until 12:00am)

Can I do my laundry on the Island?

Are visitors allowed to go to the Lighthouse and climb the tower?
Yes, the Lighthouse has an observation post at the top that members are welcome to enjoy. However, keep in mind that people are staying in the Lighthouse, so be sure you do so quietly and during reasonable hours. Please take care ascending and descending the ladder.
Can Island visitors use the Lighthouse kitchen and bathrooms?
No. The kitchen and bathrooms in the Lighthouse are for the use of the Lighthouse occupants only.
What activities are available for visitors on the Island?
Aside from relaxing by the pool and swimming, you might enjoy our regulation bocce ball courts, horseshoes and volleyball courts. We also keep Lasers, kayaks, paddleboards and paddleboats at the West Dock Shed. Paddles are signed out at the West Dock. Please remember: there aren't enough for everyone, so watch your time and return them when you've finished.
