What kind of catering does the St. Francis Yacht Club provide?
We are a full-service catering facility providing custom and classic menus. Please refer to the current catering menus to make your selections or inquire with one of our event specialists if you would like a custom menu. Meals are priced per person plus tax (8.5%) and gratuity (21%).
Do you have to be a member or have a member sponsor to have a wedding at StFYC?
No, this is not a requirement. However, as one of the benefits of membership, members receive special pricing for all catering events they host at the Club.
What are your food minimums and other fees?
The food minimum is exclusive of any beverages that may be consumed. The food minimum for a breakfast event is $35; $45 for a daytime event; $55 for an evening event and $65 per person for a Wedding. Cake cutting is $3.00 per person.
What are your labor requirements and fees?
All labor is based on 4 hours of event time.
Event captain: $200; one captain is required for every event.Servers: $175/server
Bartenders: $250; all bars require a bartender; one bartender is required for every 70 guests
How many hours are included in the facility rental?
The facility rental fee is based on four hours of event time, 2 hours of set up and 1 ½ hours of breakdown. All outside contracted vendors must remove equipment and rentals within 1 ½ hours of completed event. Additional storage fees will apply to items left without prior approval from the Catering Department. Additional hours may be added to the rental. Price is dependent on the room(s) rented and the number of hours. Additional labor fees may be required.
May we bring in our own decorations?
Yes, however all decorations and set-up time must be prearranged and approved by the Catering Department.
May we bring in outside beverage services?
StFYC holds the house liquor license, so we can only permit outside beer and wine. There is a $20 wine corkage fee for each 750ml bottle and a $30 beer corkage fee for each 24-bottle case of beer. We ask that you provide your Catering Manager with a full list of all outside beverages at least seven days prior.
How long can we have amplified music?
Music outdoors is permitted until 10:00pm. Music indoors is permitted until 12:00am.
Do you provide floor plans?
Floor plans can be found on our Event Space page. Each event will be provided with a custom floor plan based on your set up needs, Floor plans must be finalized at least one week prior to your event and be approved by your Catering Manager.
Do you allow candles?
Yes, candles that are contained in glass containers or votive holders are permitted as long as they are compliant with San Francisco Fire Code. The St. Francis Yacht Club can provide votive candles for $1.00 each or you can bring your own.
Do you provide off-site catering?
The Club does not provide or allow off-site catering.
What is your smoking policy?
Smoking is allowed outside in designated areas only.
What is your outside vendor policy?
We welcome any licensed outside vendor, including but not limited to: audio/visual and production companies, linen companies, florists, bands, DJs and more.
Do you have any other member policies?
A strict no electronic device policy is enforced in the Club. Cell phones and other electronics can be used in the rented spaces.
