Spend the Summer Sailing

Each San Francisco clubhouse camp session is one week (four days) in length and broken into two groups. Each camp is designed for Beginning and Intermediate level sailors. Instructors will place sailors in appropriate group level. Classes are taught on RS Teras, RS Fevas and CFJs. Beginning classes cover rigging, points of sail, capsizing, tacking, gybing and safety. Intermediate classes move on to topics such as sail trim, weight placement, tactics, starting and the Racing Rules of Sailing.

2024 Cityfront Sailing Camp

Open to Novice through Intermediate level sailors ages 8- 17 years, these camps are one week long, meeting Monday – Thursday from 9:00am-4:00pm. This class is to learn to sail and build confidence. Sailors will learn rigging, points of sail, capsizing, tacking and gybing. Sailors will leave the class with a good knowledge of basic sailing skills. This is a great class for beginner sailors to build confidence sailing on the windy Cityfront while working on their intermediate level skills such as hiking out, close-hauled sailing and proper sail trim. Boats sailed will be RS Teras and RS Fevas and Flying Juniors.
