January 24: The Life, Times, Care and Feeding of Peace-time Drones

Anthony Scopazzi, Photographer, Videographer, Young Chef and Budding Drone Pilot

As they have become easier to use and less expensive, drones are ever more popular among photo and video professionals. At age 20, Anthony has been making and editing short films for six years and using drones for the last four. He will review the many benefits, limitations, laws and regulations associated with drone-assisted photography over and around San Francisco Bay. He will demonstrate two video-equipped drones and discuss their operation, maintenance requirements and insatiable appetite for batteries. To support his passion for drones and photography, Anthony works as a Chef and First Mate on Five Stars Yacht and All Seasons Catering. He is looking forward to attending Cal Maritime Academy in 2018 and starting his maritime career.
