Measuring Depth in San Francisco Harbor
The photo above shows the depth soundings that were recorded during the Harbor Master’s most recent survey. The Harbormaster recommends that all boats maintain vigilance when transiting the harbor entrance as storm surge and other tidal activities can make immediate changes to what is noted here.

Temporary Suspension Available for Long-Term Leave
San Francisco Harbor Tenants: if you have moved out of your slip or you are looking to spend extended time away from your slip this summer at Tinsley Island or in Southern California for the Commodore’s Cruise, you may have some relief from your slip fees. The Marina Business Manager states that, according to the Rules and Regulations, if your boat is going to be away for more than 60 days, you can request to go on temporary suspension and pay 25% of the berthing fees while the Harbor uses your slip as a guest slip.

For more information or to fill out the temporary suspension form, please contact Lisa Chau, Marina Business Manager at

Upcoming Dock Construction
From Wednesday, May 18 to Tuesday, May 24, from 7:00am to 4:00pm, Dutra Marine Construction will be working on the docks at the I-alt and the Wave Attenuator in the West Basin. There will be a crane, a barge and related workboats in the location, so please be cautious of possible congestion and safety issues while they are performing their work.
