Sailing the Moore 24 !Mas! to First Overall in the 2016 Pacific Cup
Mark English and Ian Rogers, Double-Handed Sailors

In a year when strong winds made for record crossing times and pushing boats and crew beyond the breaking point, the doublehanded team of Mark English and Ian Rogers won the Pacific Cup Triple Crown aboard their Moore 24 !Mas!. Their elapsed time of just 10 days, 14 hours, 30 minutes netted them: first in the Kolea Doublehanded Division 1, first in the PHRF Group and first Overall. They also broke the previous Moore 24 record that stood for 18 years. Hear about their race preparation, what it’s like to doublehand a 24-foot boat for 2,070 miles and how they leveraged ideal weather conditions to win the race of a lifetime.
