Friday Open Sailing

Open Sail is another opportunity for beginning and intermediate level sailors to log some hours on the water. Sailors will be given the opportunity to sail various boats—FJ, C420, RS Feva, RS Tera and Lasers.

This course is good for young sailors who want to practice more, for crews who want to learn to skipper, skippers who want to have some time to practice advancing their skills. This course will allow sailors supervised sailing and self-discovery time in the boats. Recommended for all crews, JV sailors, Optimist Sailors, and teens who want to spend more time in the boats.

This class is open to sailors of all levels in 8th grade or High School who are looking for more time on the water and/or wanting to start skippering. Please understand that this not a learn to sail class.

Requirements & General Information

Sailors must wear closed toed shoes, a lifejacket, a wetsuit, and a helmet. StFYC has a limited collection to be loaned out on a first come, first serve, basis.

Sailors must be at class by 4pm.
