Learn To Race: Teras, Fevas and FJs

Learn to Race course participants must have Sailing Director's approval. This class covers topics such as sail trim, weight placement, tactics, starting and the Racing Rules of Sailing. The goal of this course is to ready sailors to compete in local regattas. Sailors on average need to have sailed several weeks over the past year and be able to demonstrate hiking out, using the tiller extension and sailing close hauled upwind. This course will prepare the sailors to have the skills necessary to compete in Bay Area Youth Sailing local regattas. We will compete in a Regatta hosted by StFYC.
